Recovery Houses of Westchester

I was reluctant and downright combative when it was suggested that I go to a sober living house after rehab but my wife left me with no other choice. I’m grateful today that I found a temporary home and family with Recovery Houses Of Westchester. Looking back I don’t know how I could have successfully down it any other way. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity.

I’ve learned that recovery is a journey and not a destination. One of the greatest stops I made in my journey of early recovery was living in the sober house in Mt Vernon. I didn’t have to worry about too much while I was there but I was expected to focus on my recovery and I was able to make that the priority it needed to be. Being around a group of men going through the same experience really kept me focused, motivated and accountable.
